Most projects that Sandy has managed and/or had substantial input into have involved extensive consultation with a wide range of key stakeholders, including State government authorities, Councillors and Council staff, community and resident groups, user groups, the private sector, and other stakeholders.
Depending the nature and desired outcomes of the project, Sandy uses a range of communication and engagement techniques including visual and verbal presentations to clients; on-line surveys; stakeholder workshops; liaison with community groups; on-site briefings and open days; preparation, distribution and analysis of postal and letterbox surveys to local residents; interview surveys of park visitors; and other consultation techniques such as community speak-outs, focus groups, chairing public workshops and hearings, individual interviews, and writing community newsletters. Sandy is particularly skilled in negotiating and resolving conflicts between stakeholders.
